Agri for Energy II aims to connect supply & demand side stakeholders and to foster new bioenergy businesses in three specific sectors: biomass heating, pure vegetable oil and biogas/biomethane. In these sectors, involvement and advocacy of farmers and forest owners will achieve the greatest impact. The regional bioenergy coordinator facilitates the connection of key market actors with potential customers via the WSO key market start-up model. Project activities are currently ongoing in Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Germany, Bulgaria, Finland and Sweden. For more information about Agri for Energy II, please visit www.agriforenergy.com or download the promotion folder here

The BioEnergy Farm project is concerned with increasing the use and production of bioenergy and biofuels in agriculture and aims to disseminate well structured and unbiased information about the feasibility of bioenergy and biofuels in the agricultural environment.. The goal is to encourage farmers, foresters and land-owners to take into consideration bioenergy use and production. To achieve this goal, it offers free access to reliable information on bioenergy and biofuels, calculation tools necessary to evaluate profitability of bioenergy and biofuels for each individual case as well as expert advice and support. BiogasIN aims to create a sustainable biogas market in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) by targeting the strongest framework barrier: high administrative barriers both in permitting and financing phases; this bottleneck was emphasised in many former European projects, and experiences. BiogasIN builds capacity among the public sector (national, regional and local governments and administrations responsible for permitting process of agricultural biogas plants). The objective is to create awareness, trust in the technology and the sensibility that biogas is a reliable energy, GHG and waste reduction technology for CEE. The credibility of biogas production technologies will increase the bankability of biogas projects and fasten the administrative permitting procedures. BiogasIN initiates close collaboration among all stakeholders and vertical and horizontal working groups or associations that will facilitate government s to tailor the biogas policy. Attitudes and drivers from different biogas stakeholders will be shaped via pan-European survey to facilitate development of biogas policy at EU and national level. Bio-methane Regions seeks to stimulate the market in ways that are appropriate to the current state of development of AD, biogas and bio-methane in the regions concerned. Analysing the reasons for take-off in some countries, best practice examples from wherever they exist, the barriers to development and the market conditions across the EU will give insights into the requirements to facilitate new developments. Armed with this information, each region will develop a strategy for moving forward. For more information about Bio-methane Regions, please visit www.swea.co.uk/Bio-methaneRegions

BIOSIRE aims to establish a shift towards bio-diesel and electric propulsion for fleets, ships and special vehicles in tourist areas. BIOSIRE furthermore formulates recommendations for other tourist regions and provides the opportunity for these regions to be directly involved in project events. The European Biofuels Technology Platform was established in 2006, and brings together the knowledge and expertise of stakeholders from industry, biomass resources providers, research & technology development organisations and NGOs in a public private partnership. The European Biofuels Technolgy Platform (EBTP) aims to contribute to the development of cost-competitive world-class biofuels value chains and the creation of a healthy biofuels industry, and to accelerate the sustainable deployment of biofuels in the European Union, through a process of guidance, prioritisation and promotion of research, technology development and demonstration. For more information about the European Biofuels Technology Platform, please visit www.biofuelstp.eu

| GreenGasGrids is a project with the objective to boost the the biomethane market in both forerunner and starter countries in Europe and to establish a cross-border market. The project brings public and private biomethane stakeholders together in order to reduce the most hindering barriers and jointly setting up strategies for the promotion of biomethane injection and utilisation for heat, electricity and vehicle fuel. It focuses on the most pressing issues with regard to biomethane: sustainability, technical standards, legislation and trade.
